my video from Frosty Freeze Benefit Jam… Camera by Mark. A little reporting from outside one of the dance circles at last night’s Frosty Freeze benefit jam. I learned about the Asian preference for power moves from the movie Planet B-Boy. While we didn’t capture an actual Korean person doing headstands, there is a little breaking footage towards the end. The band rocked hard.
Nick took me the Frost Freeze Memorial Benefit last night. Wayne Frost died last week. Since he was one of New York’s greatest breakdancers during its golden age of the 1980s, the room was packed with bboy crews past and present. Some of the founders of this art form came out last night to pay their respects to a brilliant and vibrant innovator. It was an inspiring night, full of music, dancing, films, and moving speeches. Nick took some footage.
