Lack of sleep. Hustling. Ambition. 

Ain’t that the fucking truth. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in some other city (Chicago, Clarksdale, wherever), finishing someone’s train of thought and agreeing with them before they even have the sentences formed, and them looking at me like, “You tryin’ to hustle me, pal?”

And me thinking, I’m just too tired to listen to what I already know you’re saying. If you live in New York, no matter where you go, you’re never a tourist. But in precisely these moments you feel like a whole different species.
